How to not let distance ruin this Teacher's Day

Teaching is a difficult job as it is, but 2020 managed to take it up a notch. While teachers have always been underappreciated, this year makes it even more important to recognize and appreciate the significant roles teachers play in our lives. As if managing a class isn't a humongous task by itself, our teachers had to step up, update their skills to teach online, and work around the clock to make it convenient for their students.

1. Pen it Down

Write down a heartfelt letter thanking your teacher for every time they've gone the extra mile (and it is ever so often) so that you don't face any form of loss.

2. Let your Melody Speak for You

Coordinate with your classmates to write down a song, just a few lines will do, and invite your teacher to a virtual orchestra. We're pretty sure they'd shed a tear or two looking at all efforts you put in to dedicate a performance exclusively for them.

3. Colors that Pop

If you and your classmates are not the musical kind, you can make a virtual scrapbook including pictures, messages, and drawings, bind it up into a book online and send the same to your teachers (Psst! You can use Canva templates to ease it down for yourself and gain some extra points for creativity!) It would make them feel as special as a handmade card would.

4. Make it Hilarious

If your teacher doesn't mind you cracking a few good and lame jokes in class, write down some with 'teacher's day' as the theme and present it to them in your own behind-the-screen stand-up show! Let them forget about the stress of online teaching for a while and give them a long-due break.
